I've struggled with mental illness since I was 16 at least. That is when I was diagnosed but I don't remember being happy or loving myself as far back as I can remember. I'm not that old now, only 26 but it sure feels like I've been dealing with this forever.

My "official" diagnosis is now Bipolar disorder (type 2) although when I was younger I was also diagnosed with unspecified personality disorder. My depression also turned into Postpartum Disorder. I'm not sure yet exactly what this blog will turn out to be but I at least hope to connect with others who have mental illness and have a place to talk about it other than my main blogs.

Update: I went off my meds Nov. 22/09 with doctor's permission to try to get pregnant. As of Jan 2010 I am still not pregnant and have gone on 50mg Seroquel at night to control rage, irritability and anger. I'm still attempting pregnancy and will go off my meds again when that happens and we'll take it from there.
